i -Studio Content Production and Management
i-Studio content production and management system is a network
program production and audio/video information publication oriented
application system developed by Transvideo' s professional teams,
which manages all kinds of media materials, program files and
related plans/tasks. Based on thorough requirements analysis,
combined with traditional program production process and methods,
considering network media broadcast and publication characters,
i-Studio content management system effectively reduces heavy,
error-prone and repetitive workload of recording, checking and

Architecture
i-Studio adopts simple and flexible Browser/Server (B/S)
architecture, composed by website explorer, software function
components, back-end database and application servers. It is
applicable to the content management related departments with
scattered working sites and many staff. Object Oriented (OO)
analysis and design methodologies are applied in the whole software
development process. It is a convenient, stable, efficient, secure
and extensible application system, easy for customer configuration,
maintenance and upgrade.
Major Functions
Major functions of i-Studio include contract management, program
management, program production, program release as well as system
management. Meanwhile, for clients from different departments,
system provides specific message notification and operation log
searching functions.
Contract Management
Contract management is a service dealing with information
concerning copyright owners of all the programs, including content
providers management and contract management.
Program Management
Regarding the program information, program management is a service
which helps to make the program to be displayed on STB and
categorize a program, it includes program information management,
program management, spotlight management, displaying the completed
images and creating trailers.
Program Release
With the program release system, the completed programs can be
distributed on the OSS system, therefore, programs would be
uploaded. OSS is one of the functional components subordinated to
business operation system (BOS) of iTvcenter Media Delivery
Platform. Program release is comprised of three function modules:
including creating program lists, checking program lists and
releasing the program. The process of program release must endure a
severe check-up in order to make sure all the information regarding
the image texts, promotion materials and spotlights that will be
released are accurate.
System Management
System management includes operator management, user management,
rights management, parameter management and log file management.
Operator Management - i-Studio is a system used for content
production and system management for more than one IPTV operators.
The use of i-Studio system could make it possible that all the
information concerning the IPTV operators who use the system can be
added, checked, modified, canceled and even activated.
User Management - Users management module can only be manipulated
by administrators of operators, it is a management service for
operation users who use i-Studio.
Rights management - Rights management can only be operated by
administrators of operators, it includes role configuration, rights
configuration and right control.
Parameter Management - With the parameter management, the
parameters regarding the sort of content providers, type of
contracts, original areas, type of spotlights and images can all be
controlled.
Log File Management - The information about operators,
administrators, the functions of operation and date of operation
can all be recorded by the system, and then generating a log file.
The administrators of operators have the right to check the log
file.
